This is a big one. You have to be motivated, just because you’re working remotely, or working from home, doesn’t mean you can just turn your computer on and make money. You need to be able to create your own schedule and routine that keeps you focused.

This is important for worldwide people. If English is your second language, you should communicate professionally in that language, and you need to be fluent. You need to be able to write clearly, have good grammar, because all your communication is gonna be online.

You have to be comfortable with learning new things, and using new digital tools, because things are changing all the time.
